Originally created by the Trustees Garden Club as a bicentennial project and revamped in 1998 by renowned English landscape architect Penelope Hobhouse, the Davenport House garden today is a place of beauty and peaceful solitude in the heart of Savannah’s Landmark Historic District. It is a wonderful place to spend a few moments reflecting on the things you may have learned during your tour of the Museum. It is a perfect spot for private, intimate events.
Our garden is available for weddings, parties and other special events year-round! The rental fees vary from $700.00 to $1400.00 depending on the type of event and the time of the year. Alcohol is allowed but please note that you are required to observe all state and local regulations regarding the consumption of alcohol while on the premises. Also please be aware that special conditions apply to events scheduled in October and between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. During those times, the museum hosts special evening programs so any garden event must be concluded by 7 p.m.
